Seongju International Life Culture Festival in Korea
Annyeonghaseyo! It's me again. I just came back from my trip to Korea 8 days ago and would like to share my experience there. I went to Korea on the 17th of May 2017 and came back on the 24th of May 2017. I spent 5 days in Daegu and a day in Seoul. I arrived on the 18th and checked in the hotel that night. It took around 6 hours from the airport located in Incheon to Daegu including the drivers break (we slept throughout the journey in the bus, well most of us). I only had to perform for 3 days and had 3 outfit changes.
The outfit changes was what worried me the most. I had to rush and change before my performance. The performance that I had to do was 'Procession' which was the opening, followed by 'Rentak' and lastly, 'Puteri Gunung Ledang'. The event that I and my other teammates participated was the Seongju International Life Culture Festival . We represented Malaysia under girl guides and my dance class, DiDance Jemari Pandu Puteri. There were other countries involved besides Malaysia which were Bulgaria, Latvia, Russia and Turkey. Their performances were amazing. Besides performing at the festival, we even performed at the elders house as charity. The closing ceremony was the best. There was the tug of war (which I totally enjoyed since girls can't do it at sports day in school), fireworks and more. There was even a parade where we all had to walk from the city hall after we met the vice mayor of Seongju to the festival. Trust me, we had to stand under the hot, scorching sun when we had to give our farewell to the vice mayor. There were 2-3 stops during the parade where we had to dance. The dance was choreographed the night before.
We all had dinner and had vegetables, rice (which reminds me of the rice we use to eat nasi dagang) and fish. The fish was the highlight of all the food throughout the trip. It was appetising. At 2:30 am on the 23rd, we had to leave to Seoul. There were people who had to leave Malaysia but some of us stayed to have a night in Seoul. There were so many things to buy, I have to visit Korea again. I bought some stuff from lush, innisfree and other great brands. I stayed at Myeondong in Seoul so it's near to the shops. The following day, we had to leave at 5 am to go to the airport. That's about it! To more travelling and adventure in the future. Annyeong Korea! Till next time :)
